Dakota grew up in Smithville, Texas, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Range and Wildlife Management in three years at Texas A&M University - Kingsville in May 2022. Her undergraduate research on evaluating the spatio-temporal patterns of pronghorn in the Texas Panhandle won her first place in the poster presentation competition at both the Texas Section Society for Range Management and the Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society. Dakota is now pursuing her Master's degree in Range and Wildlife Management with hopes of obtaining her Ph.D. afterward.
