Native Grassland Restoration in the Texas Hill Country
Serving Since

Molly O’Brien (they/them) is from Florida and earned a B.S. and B.A. from the University of North Florida in 2019. As an undergraduate, they researched the impact of climate change on American alligator hatchling sex ratios. They are now working in Dr. Evan Tanner’s lab on restoring fallow agricultural fields to native prairie in the Texas Hill Country. Various combinations of restoration techniques will be tested to assess their efficacy in the Edwards Plateau region of Texas. This research involves valuable partnerships with the Texas Native Seeds Program (TNS) as well as the Texas Ecological Laboratory (Eco Lab).
