Thin Paspalum

(Paspalum setaceum)
Plant Type:
Grasses
Thin Paspalum is a native perrenial grass found in sand and sandy loam ecological sites in South Texas. It provides fair forage for livestock and seed eaten by bobwhite quail. Thin Paspalum has a low stature, indeterminate seed ripening, and does not hold seed on heads after maturity, making development or commercial production of this species impractical.
