Amanda Montemayor grew up in San Benito, Texas. Living along the Texas Coast and surrounded by birds in the Rio Grande Valley, she developed an appreciation for the outdoors. She earned her Bachelor’s in Range and Wildlife Management at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, then gained experience working in bird-related technician positions before returning to TAMUK to pursue her Master’s degree.
