Centers of Excellence ($2.5 Million)
Centers of Excellence expand our ability to produce and deliver high-quality research and stabilize existing programs. Scientists at the Institute are committed to promoting excellence in wildlife and habitat management.
Endowed Chair Positions ($2 Million+)
An Endowed Chair position is the most prestigious title a university can bestow on a faculty member for their contributions, scholarly achievements, and teaching success. Chair positions serve as an enduring tribute for whom the endowment is named and honor and recognize the named holder of the appointment. Chair positions are essential when it comes to recruiting and retaining the highest quality faculty.
Endowed Professorships ($1 Million+)
An Endowed Professorship honors and recognizes a faculty member for their contributions, scholarly achievements, and teaching success, while also serving as an enduring tribute for whom the endowment is named. Professorships are essential when it comes to recruiting and retaining the highest quality faculty.
Endowed Graduate Student Fellowships ($600,000+)
A critical component in recruiting the best graduate students is the ability to offer fully supported fellowships that pay the stipend and benefits of the chosen student. Endowed Fellowships are a powerful recruiting tool, and also allow the Institute to leverage and maximize external grant dollars.
Endowed Support of Research Programs ($500,000+)
Each named research program has recurring operating expenses. Funds generated are unrestricted and
designated to the overall named research program.
Endowed Lectureships ($100,000+)
Endowed lectureships allow CKWRI to bring top scientists
to TAMUK to share their research results and ideas with CKWRI faculty and students. By engaging top scientists from around the country and the world, CKWRI’s knowledge base is expanded and our scientists have the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss collaboration on future projects. Having funds dedicated to cover travel expenses and an honorarium elevates the quality of lectures CKWRI is able to offer, and therefore strengthens the knowledge of our faculty and students.
Endowed Support of Specific AreaS
of Research ($50,000+)
These endowments can be established to support any area of current research. Funds generated are unrestricted and designated to the overall named research area.
Graduate Student Scholarships ($50,000+)
Each year, CKWRI has at least 40 graduate students involved with active research projects. These scholarships allow graduate students more time to focus on their studies and research without the financial stress that tuition and associated expenses often present. Scholarships are a strong recruiting tool when promoting CKWRI.
