Geospatial Technologies Laboratory

The Geospatial Technologies Laboratory is dedicated to providing support to CKWRI researchers in the use of geospatial technologies by providing state of the art geospatial facilities, hardware, software, training, and technical support.

Some of our research includes:

  • Mapping the Spatial and temporal distribution of tanglehead (heteropogon contortus) on South Texas Rangelands.
  • Impacts of habitat fragmentation on Northern bobwhite in the Gulf Coastal Prairie Landscape Cooperative.
  • Identifying landscape characteristics for Rio Grande wild turkey habitat in Central and South Texas.
  • Developing spatially-explicit habitat suitability models for Rio Grande wild turkeys.
