Claire recently received her M.S. degree from the University of Kentucky's Department of Forest and Natural Resource Science before joining the CKWRI North Program as Research Program Manager. Her thesis work focused on using a camera-based sampling and spatial recapture modeling approach as a novel methodology for estimating population parameters of the reintroduced elk in the Kentucky Elk Restoration Zone of southeastern Kentucky. She has varied experience and interests in the wildlife realm, including within the spatial ecology, community dynamics, disease, and genetics fields, and is excited to play a role in the work of CKWRI's North Program. Claire adores the outdoors, hiking, music, and art-related endeavors.
