Forrest was raised on a farm in northern Illinois, where his passion for the outdoors first began. He grew up loving to hunt, fish, and generally be outside. He graduated from Auburn University in Alabama in 2022, earning a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management. He is currently working towards his Master's degree in Range and Wildlife Management at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. His research focuses on how differing fire prescriptions affect nearest neighbor relationships and species composition in Coastal prairies.
