Jacob Dykes grew up in Amory, MS where he developed a passion for the outdoors. To pursue that passion and gain a better understanding of natural resources, Jacob enrolled in the Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Science program at Mississippi State University. While at Mississippi State University, he obtained both of his bachelor's and master's of science degrees in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture. In pursuit of his PhD, Jacob joined the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute in August 2018 to lead a research project evaluating Behavioral Responses of White-tailed Deer to Heat Stress.
