Project Title: Landscape Molecular Genetics of Northern Bobwhite in Texas

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Katherine attended California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California.  She graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in environmental science.  She moved to Corpus Christi and worked on her master's degree in biology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, investigating the nest success of the Botteri's Sparrow in South Texas.  For her Ph.D. she will be working on landscape molecular genetics of Northern Bobwhite in Texas will be working under the guidance of Dr. Leonard Brennan and Dr. Randy DeYoung.
