Ray grew up in Northern California, where the surrounding public land solidified his fascination with the natural world. After working for several years at county and state parks, he yearned for a closer relationship with wildlife and pursued a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Conservation and Management at Cal Poly Humboldt. As a wildlife technician, Ray has worked on numerous projects involving ocelots, ducks, elk, and Humboldt martens.
